Submissions guidelines

We are so excited for you to be contributing to The Get Real. Before you submit, please review our guidelines below:

Contributor Rights

When you submit your work to us, you retain full ownership of your content. We request:

• Non-exclusive rights: You are free to share or republish your work elsewhere at any time, even after we’ve published it in The Get Real.

• Archival rights: We reserve the right to keep your work in any digital or print archives of The Get Real (such as past issues available on our website).

Submission Terms

• Originality: All submissions must be original works. Please ensure your content is not plagiarised and does not infringe on any copyrights.

• Editing Policy: We may edit submissions for clarity, grammar, or formatting. If substantial changes are needed, we will reach out to you for approval.

• Format: For articles, aim for 500-1,000 words; for poetry, up to 40 lines. There is an option to include a brief bio with your submission.

• Withdrawal Policy: If you wish to withdraw your submission after sending it, please notify us as soon as possible at hello@thegetreal.co.uk
